Overview
Your privacy is important to us at LoadSnap. We collect personal information such as your name and email address, which is stored in our database. Third-party apps like Stripe may collect user data, including payment information and transaction history, to process payments and provide their services.
We use your information to market services and products offered by LoadSnap, process and fulfill your orders, provide customer support, improve our services and website, and send promotional offers and updates.
Load board data collected by the extension
The LoadSnap Chrome extension runs only on the load board sites it supports: one.dat.com, main.truckstop.com, web.loadlink.ca and thelinkloadlinkweb4.loadlink.ca. It does not read, monitor or transmit anything from any other website.
When you choose to act on a load — by sending a broker email or by saving the load — the extension records that action to your LoadSnap account. What is recorded is the load posting you acted on, as the board displayed it at that moment: origin and destination, rate, mileage, deadhead, equipment, weight and length, reference number, company name, posting notes, and the broker contact details shown on the posting, which may include an email address and a phone number. We also store the address the message was sent to, which board it came from, and the URL of the board page you acted on.
This information is collected for one purpose: to give you a record of the loads you emailed and saved, shown to you at app.loadsnap.io. A load board posting is removed once the broker covers the load, and this record is what allows your own copy to survive that. Nothing is collected in the background — a record is created only when you click to send or to save.
We do not sell this information, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising, credit assessment or any purpose unrelated to the feature described above. You can delete any individual record from the Email Activity page at any time, which removes it from our systems, or request deletion of all of it by contacting support@loadsnap.io.
Data protection mechanisms
We implement security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption, secure access controls, and regular security audits. Our databases are protected by firewalls and are accessible only by authorized personnel. Payment information collected by third-party services such as Stripe is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer technology and stored securely.
Data handling and policies
Our backend services may use third-party platforms provided by Google that offer tools and services to help us build and manage our application. Data stored or processed through these platforms is handled in compliance with Google’s privacy policies and security standards.
Retention and deletion of user data
We retain Google or Microsoft user data only as long as necessary to provide our services and as described in this policy. To request deletion, contact support@loadsnap.io. We will delete your data within a reasonable timeframe unless the law requires us to retain it. Deleted data will be removed from backup systems within a reasonable period.
Use and transfer of user data
LoadSnap’s use and transfer of information received from Google or Microsoft APIs adheres to their respective Services User Data Policies, including Limited Use requirements. The LoadSnap Chrome extension is designed to send email on behalf of users. We are committed to handling this data with care.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our use of Google user data. We will notify you of material changes and seek consent before using Google user data in a new way or for a different purpose.
